Our Point of View

The Twirl top from Pleats Please Issey Miyake is a study in dynamic form — its signature micro-pleated fabrication catches light and moves with the body, creating a fluid, almost architectural presence. A bold diagonal colour-block at the lower body introduces a swirling contrast panel in cool grey, crossing over itself in an X-shaped graphic that lends the piece its sculptural name. Effortlessly packable and crease-resistant by design, it embodies Issey Miyake's enduring philosophy that clothing should liberate, not constrain.
